The SPIRIT OF SANT LUIS model kit is an incredibly detailed etched model that is a lot of fun and satisfying to put together. It starts with four 4-inch square sheets of steel and ends in a 3D model. Simply use the easy-to-follow instructions included with the sheet to extract the pieces, bend the tabs, and connect them at the attachment points. No glue or soldering is required.

The Spirit of Saint Louis was the first airplane to fly solo, nonstop, across the Atlantic. On May 20, 1927, at 7:52 a.m., this custom-built, single-engine, single-seat monoplane piloted by Charles Lindbergh departed Long Island, New York, on its historic flight. After 33.5 hours and 3,600 miles, the plane arrived safely at Le Bourget Field in Paris.
